Define your Leave types

Opportune web based leave management module allows to define various leave types ranging from Earned/privileged leave(PL), casual leave (CL), sick leave (SL), Compensatory off (comp offs), maternity leave (ML), paternity leave.

Module allows create and configure leave types as per grades, designation & locations. The leave module gives flexibility to define leaves based on the hours worked on the day – Half Paid day [HPD] or half day leave without pay [HLWP].

Leave balance computation

OppLab-Logo-Options6a has formulated an accurate method to compute leave balances. Leave balance function works as an integrated part of the Leave policy feature. Leave balance function credits / debits the leaves of individual employee as per its leave type & rule set against the grade of the employee.

The function is integrated with attendance register & as per leave status the balances are computed. Readjustment of leave balance can be done with proper reasoning & audit trail.

Employee Leave Request (ESS)

Leave request screen is an internal part of Employee Self Service. Leave request function empowers employee to request for various leaves as per their requirement & company HR policy ranging from short leaves to long leave, sick leave to comp offs.

Employees can view their past leave request & current leave application status. Leave request can be saved in the draft mode by the employee & then can be submitted to the reporting manager & the hierarchy for appropriate action. The option to regularize leave or cancel the applied leave at any time makes the leave request function “employees delight“.

Leaves applied via request action are checked by the leave rules engine & accordingly generates the required message & warnings, which further helps employees to take correct decision.

Leave Ledger

Leave ledger is the most essential report for any successful HRMS system.

It is a well know fact, any work done with utmost transparency results in long term engagement. Leave ledger helps employers to showcase with utmost transparency employees their actual monthly leave credit as per rules & leave type, further it even shows the consumption of leaves on monthly basis by the employees. It drills down till the end to show the dates on which leave have been utilized.

Leave application response

Easy to use Opportune leave management module’s is well integrated with Manager Self Service feature (MSS), allowing managers to access employee leave requests with reason for leave, along with current leave balance & historical data of the employee. Any violation of leave rules during the application by the employee is highlighted in a separate colour & with the reason, helping the manager to take the right decision before accepting or rejecting of application

The managers before approving or rejecting leave requests can also check other pending leaves in the department ensuring adequate headcount for optimal productivity planning.
